Nothing comes with black version Ear (2) and noise reduction for Ear (stick)
Nothing introduces a black version of the Ear (2). The new variant of the earplugs will be available for purchase from July 21 for 149 euros. The company is also coming with an update that adds noise cancellation to the Ear (stick) earphones and adds an advanced equalizer to the Nothing X app.
The black variant has the same design as the white, semi-transparent version of the Ear (2) that came on the market earlier this year and also has the same specifications. The earplugs support Hi-Res Audio of up to 24bit at 192KHz, are compatible with the LHDC 5.0 codec and support Bluetooth multipoint. This means they can be used with two devices at the same time.
Nothing also introduces a firmware update for the Ear (stick) earphones that came onto the market in the autumn of 2022. The firmware adds noise cancellation to the earbuds. This function can be activated via the Nothing X app. This app is also necessary to download and install the new firmware.
The company also added an Advanced Equalizer feature to the Nothing X app. This eight-channel equalizer allows Ear (2) and Ear (stick) users to further personalize and adjust the sound of their earbuds. The profiles created via the equalizer can be shared with other Ear (2) users via a QR code.
Both the firmware update for the Ear (stick) and the update for the Nothing X app are available immediately. The black version of the Ear (2) earplugs will be available for purchase from July 21 for 149 euros.
