Nintendo releases classic arcade game Mario Bros for Switch
Nintendo has published a version of Mario Bros for the Switch console. Players can download the game from the Switch Eshop. It is the first classic game to be released for the Switch, and more such games are expected to come out.
The remake of the classic arcade game appeared on Nintendo’s site. Incidentally, the modified version of Mario Bros was not made by Nintendo itself, but by a company called Hamster. Owners of the Switch have to pay 8 dollars, converted 7 euros, for the game. The first version of the arcade game was released in 1983.
Mario Bros is only the first game in the so-called Arcade Archives series of games to be released for the Switch. More classic games are likely to be released soon, including some in the Super Mario Bros series.
Nintendo already released Nindies last month; these are indie games that can be downloaded for the Switch. It concerns about twenty games, most of which will be released this year.
