Benchmarks probably show Google’s new Android device with Snapdragon 855

Google seems to be working on a new device that features Android version Q and runs on a Snapdragon 855 processor. It is not clear exactly what it is about, but it may be a new member of the Pixel series.

The benchmarks of the device in question, codenamed Coral, appeared on Geekbench, the website Wccftech discovered. There are speculations that it will be the Pixel 4, but that cannot be said for sure; Google itself has not disclosed anything and it is not clear whether the benchmark results are reliable, and the data is also incomplete.

The data shows that the Google device is equipped with Android Q, the upcoming version of the mobile operating system, and 6GB of RAM. The processor data suggests that it is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855. The results appeared on Geekbench on January 24.

It is unclear when the suspected Pixel smartphone should come out. This may not happen until later this year; there have been rumors of a Lite version of the Pixel 3 before, and it’s likely to come out first. The release is probably this spring, with a possible Pixel 4 in the fall.
