Download Xfire 1.50

It’s party time at Xfire. Not only does the company exist two years next week, the fiftieth version of the program of the same name has just been released. Xfire looks like a standard IM program, but has a number of features that are particularly interesting for the gamers among us. In addition to chatting with your buddies, you can also see which game they are currently playing. You can then easily join that game (one-click join) and in some games it is also possible to chat with each other. At the moment there are nearly 500 games recognizedof which about 150 games’one click join‘ and 250 ‘in game chat‘ to support. The changelog for this release shows the following changes:

• Added the ability to invite more people in a chat window; one-to-one chats are automatically converted to group chats when you do this.
• Fixed Friends’ Favorites in the Servers tab; they now work well.
• Your current upload/download rates are now displayed in the tooltip tray.

• Added the ability to set the default user permissions in a group chat.
• Added the ability to create a game lobby for Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic in a group chat.

• Added a white background to the icon so that it looks good on any type of background.
• Changed the icon for the main window to differentiate it from chat windows when you Alt-Tab.
• Improved behavior of silent installations to include a desktop shortcut.
• Changed installer to prevent installations in special Windows directories.
• Numerous other minor bug fixes.
