Download Firmware KiSS DP-558 1.1.4

KiSS, now part of Cisco just like Linksys, has updated its DivX/DVD player DP-558 to version 1.1.4. The download contains a CD image that can be used to update the existing firmware. Please note that there are two models of the DP-558; one with an 80, the other with a 200GB harddisk, and there is a separate firmware for both. When updating from version 1.0.3, a reset of the DP-558 is necessary. More information about this can be found at this page to be found. The changelog for this release shows the following changes:

• TimeShift freezing issue
• Issue where extra time added to the end of recordings using the EPG was ignored
• TimeSearch with seconds in recordings
• FF and RW resetting recordings to 00:00:00
• Flickering Subtitles (when subtitle length longer than 4500ms)
• DivX Graphic Subtitles Red Color Removed
• Some Nero Digital Subtitles missing
• Nero Digital playback stability issue
• SCART Pass through in Standby mode
