Tribler wants to make torrent trackers obsolete

The latest version of the Bittorrent client Tribler is equipped with a decentralized search function. This makes it possible to track down .torrent files without using a torrent tracker.

Although Bittorrent is a p2p protocol, central servers have so far been used to make available the torrent files needed for sharing.
