After five beta releases, it’s now time for the first release candidate of Maxthon version 2.0. Maxthon is a so-called ‘wrapper’, a shell around Internet Explorer. It uses IE’s ‘internet engine’ to build the pages, but has its own interface with all kinds of extra functionality. Among the changes in version 2.0 we find, among other things, a refreshed appearance, different proxy settings can be used per website, there are password-protected profiles for different users, and the modular structure makes efficient use of system resources. on this page can be found more information about the new features in Maxthon 2.0, the changes in this release are as follows:
