Gmail in G Suite gets option to download messages in eml format
Google is going to give Gmail in G Suite a function to download messages in eml format, which users can open in other mail clients. That was not possible until now. Users can also cross out text and there will be ‘undo’ and ‘redo’ buttons.
The new buttons and download option will appear in the coming days for users of Gmail in the business office software G Suite, reports Google. The options for ‘undo’ and ‘redo’ appear in the window to compose mails, next to buttons to make text bold or italicized. There is also the option to strike out text.
The new features are enabled by default, Google says. Many users would have asked for the features in recent years. Google does not say anything about whether the buttons and the download option will also be available to private Gmail users. Many features from the G Suite version also appear for the consumer version, although that is not always the case.
