Google has started rolling out Android 4.4 for the Nexus 4. Several users have already received the update, but it may be some time before the software appears on everyone’s screen.

Several users have Android Central reported that they have received the update. On GoT, few users seem to have received the over-the-air update. The Android 4.4 software is approximately 238MB in size and has build number KRT16S. It would be a new build in which Google has fixed a number of bugs; users who had installed an earlier version of Android 4.4 complained about wakelocks that drained the battery faster, among other things.

Google previously released the factory images, which can be used to manually install the Android 4.4 update. However, this will delete all data from the device. The factory images are also available for the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10, of which the over-the-air update is also expected to follow soon.
