Download Cedega 5.2.5
TransGaming has released a new version of its program Cedega with 5.2.5 as the version number. This is a proprietary implementation of Microsoft’s Win32 Application Programming Interfaces (API) for the Linux platform, which makes it possible to play Windows games on various Linux distributions when using Linux Kernel 2.4 or later. The changes since the previous entry in the muck tracker look like this:
Cedega 5.2.5 – Spearfish:
Cedega 5.2.5 is a point release to correct a number of issues with EVE Online, the ATI drivers, as well as fixes for a variety of other games and issues.
- Support for the EVE Online “Dragon” update.
- Fix the corporation time and character age display in EVE Online.
- ATI driver workaround for the X BadValue error.
- Fix for various installers crashing at the end when creating shortcuts on some distros.
- Fix the Battlefield 2 mouse not working on Ubuntu Dapper and Fedora Core 5 64-bit X.org.
- Workaround for a Far Cry bug which was preventing it from starting on modern distros.
- Fix for incorrect mouse position in desktop mode.
Cedega 5.2.4 – Mackerel:
Cedega 5.2.4 is a bug fix release to support the latest Guild Wars update.
- Fix for last week’s Guild Wars update.
Cedega 5.2.3 – Seabass:
Cedega 5.2.3 includes updates to the increasingly easier to use Cedega User Interface and some minor fixes to the Cedega engine. Our latest addition, the GDDB, has been given a shiny new update, allowing subscribers to download updated GDDB files. Game notes have now been divided into General, Install and Play sections allowing users to better view information available for any game. TransGamers can now have multiple shortcuts for the same executable all with different settings. As well the ability to rename game folders, remove engines and specify a preferred web browser have been added. A host of additional fixes have made Cedega even easier to use than ever before.
- Added the ability to download updated GDDB files from the TransGaming downloads server.
- Added multi-tab support for GDDB notes, allowing display of General, Install, Play and All game notes.
- Substantial speed improvements to the GDDB.

Cedega 5.2.2 is a bug fix release to support the World of Warcraft 1.11 patcher and the latest publish of Star Wars Galaxies.

- Fixes for various Direct3D correctness and potential memory bugs.
- Improved DNS support in the iphlpapi DLL.
