Download RSS Bandit 1.6.0.2

A few days ago, version 1.6.0.2 of RSS Bandit was released. RSS Bandit is a program with which RSS and atom feeds from, for example, websites, forums and weblogs can be collected. These are then refreshed on a regular basis to keep you up to date with the latest happenings. In addition, the program can also download newsgroups and display them clearly. Below you can find everything that has changed since version 1.5.0.17:

Changes in version 1.6.0.2:

• Fixed: Application crashes with AccessViolationException on startup.
• Fixed: Application crashes and red ‘X’ shows in feed subscriptions window.
• Fixed: User’s credentials are not used when accessing feeds via a proxy server leading to proxy errors when fetching feeds.
• Fixed: Duplicate feed URLs not detected if they differ by trailing slash or “www.” in the host name
• Fixed: Application crashes when displaying an error dialog when a certificate issue is detected with a secure feed.

Changes in version 1.6.0.1:

• Fixed: IndexOutOfRangeException thrown if less than ten Top Stories could be generated due to insufficient outgoing links in user’s subscriptions.(bug 1858619)
• Fixed: Flagged Items special folder does not show flagged items(bug 1860442)
• Fixed: Exporting feed list as OPML results in “Key not found in dictionary” error. (bug 1859711)
• Fixed: Application crashes randomly if Windows language/locale is set to Finnish. (bug 1859508)
• Fixed: “Download feeds on startup” setting not honored. Feeds are still downloaded on startup even if this option is unchecked. (bug 1859719)
• Fixed: Inconsistent behavior when running application on Vista 64-bit because it wasn’t compiled as a 32-bit application.
• Fixed: Update frequency set to 0 not honored on restarting the application (bug 1864305)

• Feature: Top Stories button shows the ten most popular links about the past week in your subscriptions.
• Feature: Twitter plugin enables posting links or replies to Twitter
• Fixed KeyNotFoundException if “Mark All Items as Read” clicked shortly after changing the URL for a subscribed feed.
• Fixed: Downloading feed list from NewsGator Online deletes local machine and intranet feeds.
• Fixed: Downloading favicons happens several times while the application is running instead of just once.
• Fixed: 100% CPU used when an RSS feed with no element is encountered.
