Download Run Scanner 1.8.0.0

Runscanner is able to check the system for the presence of malware. It can use various online databases, such as FileAdvisor and Castle Cops, to check suspicious files based on their md5 hash. Suspicious files can also be forwarded to VirusTotal to detect any viruses present. For more information, we refer you to this page. The developer recently released version 1.8.0.0 with the following list of changes:

• Switched to Delphi 2009 unicode
• Run files have a new slightly smaller format
• Added new certificates to the whitelist

• Removed Castlecops.com search

Bug fixed:

• Fixed several unicode issues
• Canvas does not allow drawing error
• Online analysis sometimes not working
• Fixed several access violation errors
• AppInit_Dlls value now recognizes spaces and commas as delimiter. (used to hide malware)
• Fixed bug where some startup items with parameters could not be restored
• Fixed bug when some important registry settings could not be restored (LSA authentication packages)

64 bit operating systems are not supported in this release but will be in the 2.0 version.
