Download TortoiseSVN 1.5.7
The developers behind Tortoisesvn released version 1.5.7 of their program on Sunday. Tortoisesvn is an open source Subversion client and is intended for version control. Version control is especially useful, if not indispensable, when working on a project with multiple developers. The program integrates itself as a shell extension into Windows and can be used on its own or in combination with an ide. Version 1.5.7 of Tortoisesvn ships with Subversion 1.5.5 and contains no new features. However, the necessary bug fixes have been made and this version has been given the stamp ‘maintenance release’. In version 1.5.7, the following seven bugs have been fixed:
Bugs fixed in version 1.5.7:
- Error text returned from a repository hook script could get split up wrong if empty lines were in the text.
- If the currently shown folder in the repository browser was renamed, the url bar did not change to the new url.
- Unversioned items selected for reverting would move them to the trash bin instead of leaving them.
- Deleting an item in the repository browser that had non-ascii chars in it didn’t work.
- TortoiseMerge showed a black line diff in one-pane view.
- The styling of bug IDs in the commit dialog could fail.
- TortoiseMerge added a newline at the end of a file when saving modifications.
