DVDFab Software has released version 7.0.9.0 of DVDFab. This program consists of two separate parts. The free DVDFab HD Decrypter allows you to rip movies from DVD or Blu-ray to hard drive, removing security and region code at the same time. With the other part, simply called DVDFab, the movie can then be converted and copied to a DVD, Blu-ray or portable device such as the PSP or an iPod. The program can make a complete copy, but it is also possible to choose specific parts, for example only the main movie with a limited number of languages ​​and subtitles.

In version 6, the Gold and Platinum components have been discontinued. Instead, are DVD to DVD, Blu-ray to Blu-ray, DVD to Mobile, File to Mobile and File Mover came. The different parts of the program have their own license. If you don’t need the Blu-ray functionality or don’t have a portable player, you don’t have to pay for this either. Version 7.0.9.0 contains no major changes. Some issues have been fixed and the translations have been updated. The full changelog looks like this:

DVDFab “DVD to DVD”:

• New: In “Clone” mode, removes characters not allowed by the file system from volume name to help programs, which use the volume name as a file path, eg bookmark files of Zoom player.
• Fix: A problem that IFO file may be corrupt.
• Fix: An error 100 when copying DVD folder on UNC path.

DVDFab “DVD to Mobile”:

• New: Improved profile for iPhone, iPhone4 and iPad to allow DVDFab to calculate most suitable bitrate automatically.

DVDFab “Blu-ray to Blu-ray”:

• New: In “Clone” mode, removes characters not allowed by the file system from volume name.
• New: In “Clone” mode, patches UDF file system to allocate more space for jar files when decryption on certain discs, like “The Lovely Bones”.
• New: Rewritten Blu-ray scanning code to improved speed up to 500%.
• Fix: A freeze problem when scanning in certain cases.
• Fix: A problem that “Main Movie” backup cannot be played if there is no compression.

DVDFab “Blu-ray to Mobile”:

• New: Improved profile for iPhone4 and iPad to allow DVDFab to calculate most suitable bitrate automatically.

DVDFab “File to Mobile”:

• New: Improved profile for iPhone, iPhone4 and iPad to allow DVDFab to calculate most suitable bitrate automatically.
