Download KDE 4.1.4

Early this week, version 4.1.4 of K Desktop Environment released, in what they call the second translation and service release in the 4.1 series. KDE is a popular desktop environment for GNU/Linux, FreeBD, and Solaris, among others, and comes with a default desktop that includes fifteen packages of applications such as a personal information manager, multimedia, administration and network management, and games. Enhancements

As a service release, the changelog contains a list of bugfixes and improvements, the most notable being a large number of bugs fixed in KMail, Okular and KGpg. Note that the changelog is usually incomplete, for a complete list of changes that went into KDE 4.1.4, you can browse the Subversion log. KDE 4.1.4 also ships a more complete set of translations.

This release is the one last planned release for the KDE 4.1 series, although security problems might still warrant a 4.1.5.
