Apple has released an update for Mail. It turns out that the mail client on some systems does not update properly when the 10.5.6 update is installed or that third-party add-ons cause Mail to crash. The developers of Apple have therefore this location Posted Mail Update 1.0 where the bugs no longer exist. The update weighs in at just over 58 megabytes and is only for Mac computers running OS X 10.5.6:
