Download Winscp 4.1.8

Yesterday a new stable version of Winscp was released with version number 4.1.8. With this program, which is released under an open source license, files can be copied securely within a local network (secure copy) or over the internet (secure ftp). The program is not only available as a stand-alone program, but can also be used as a plugin for the file managers FAR and Altap Salamander are used. The changelog of this release shows the following changes:

Changed:

• Expanding/collapsing capability of message boxes removed.

Bug fixed:

• Icon on Properties dialog is shrunk to fit, if shell icon size is too large.
• Dragging of item in editor list was not correctly stopped.
• Error when moving current remote directory to different location (eg by dragging tree node).
• Duplicating session in new window was not working.
• Color of file panel border was not updated in some cases.
• Error on startup when initial local directory as reported by Windows starts with lowercase drive letter.
• Size of externally removed local files was not detracted from total file size shown on status bar.
• File statistics on status bar was not updated with automatic update of local file panel on external change.
• Controls on some dialogs (eg editor preferences dialog) were occasionally corrupted.
