Download Ultimate Boot CD 5.2 Beta 2

The developers behind Ultimate Boot CD have released the second and possibly final beta release of version 5.2. Ultimate Boot CD is a large collection of open source and freeware programs intended for finding and solving mainly hardware problems. The beta will be available as ftp or http-download offered and is 412MB in size. Several components have been updated in this release, but we don’t see any major changes. The changelog for beta 1 and 2 looks like this:

Changes in Ultimate Boot CD version 5.2 beta 2:

• Removed “/boot/syslinux/” from all COM32 entries in syslinux menus.
• Updated Gujin to V2.8.7. Thanks to Don Manuel for the update.

Changes in Ultimate Boot CD version 5.2 beta 1:

• Updated UBCD FreeDOS to V1.48. This version uses an enhanced superfloppy image supplied by ady.
• FDUBCD: Fixed AUTOEXEC.BAT at ady’s request.
• FDUBCD: Updated bin\7za.exe to 9.20.1 at ady’s request.
• AleGr MEMTEST re-added to FDUBCD because it can be started with “/ignorexmm” parameter. Thanks to ady for pointing this out.
• Updated Parted Magic to 2012_12_25.
