SlySoft has released version 7.1.0.0 of AnyDVD. This program runs in the background in Windows and is able to bypass the region and copy protection of DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray discs on the fly. AnyDVD is also able to skip mandatory sections, such as copyright and FBI warnings. Finally, the speed of the drive can be adjusted to reduce the noise produced during playback. The price of a license depends on the chosen duration and starts at 41 euros. A 20 percent discount on the licenses is regularly given, in this case until November 4. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

New:

• (Blu-ray): Support for new BD+ protection
• (Blu-ray): Updated decryption keys
• (Blu-ray): Added a “disc.inf” file to the root of the Blu-ray disc with useful information for 3rd party tools.
• (Blu-ray): Added warning, if the Online Protection Database cannot be reached.
• (DVD): Support for new copy protections
• (DVD): Added option to remove CSS mastering errors. This has been enabled by default in the past, but is only needed for a handful of discs (eg “Go”, R2, Germany), and is now disabled by default.

Changed:

• (Blu-ray): Because of popular demand, the default Region code setting is back. Remember, if you want to remove the region lock of Blu-ray discs, you *MUST* specify the region of the *DISC*. Not of your player. Not of your country. Or the *DISC*. Check the packaging or the disc itself for region code markings. Fixed:
  • (Blu-ray): Playback problem, if region lock was removed with some discs.
  • Some minor fixes and improvements
  • Updated languages
