Download Driver For Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium 2.17.0009

Creative Labs released new drivers for its Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium series sound cards early this month. The drivers are version number 2.17.0009 and are suitable for Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8. The corresponding announcement and the list of changes look like this:

Additional features or improvements:

• Improves the loading time of the Sound Control Panel.
• To select other microphones under the Microphone Effects or Sound Control Panel tab.

Resolves the following issues:

• Microphone volume level is not fixed in every mode of the Creative Boot console.
• Requires the latest Creative Console Launcher application (v2.61.49).
• No sound passes through the S/PDIF output when playing DVDs with Windows Media Player 12.
• Buttons on the X-Fi I/O drive do not work with Windows XP.
• Occasional unresponsiveness in Sound Control Panel when configuring the Flexijack.
• Speaker configuration in Sound Control Panel is not synced when Headphones option is selected in Game mode or Audio creation mode.
• The system does not respond if Windows is shut down while DTS Connect is activated.

Known issues:

• Audio interferes when opening video for some games while Dolby Digital Live is enabled. This issue only occurs on certain hardware and OS configurations. More details and a solution are here available.
