Canon EOS 6D Mark II DSLR photos appear online
Photos of the Canon EOS 6D Mark II have surfaced online. The device seems to have a screen that can be folded and tilted, and according to a list of leaked specifications, there is a 26.2 megapixel sensor in the full-frame camera.
According to the Japanese website Nokishita, which posted the photos online, the sensor used features Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus technology for focusing in live view, as well as a system of 45 cross-sensitive focus points for focusing with the optical viewfinder.
The shooting speed would be 6.5 fps and the ISO value would go up to 40,000, but could also be expanded to 102,400 in extended mode. According to the leaked specifications, the movie function has a full-HD resolution and uses electronic image stabilization. The 3″ screen on the back can be folded out and tilted. It would be the first time that Canon uses such a screen on a full-frame camera. The housing weighs 765 grams according to the Japanese blog.
Canon Rumors was rumored last week that the EOS 6D Mark II will be announced on June 29. Photos of new cameras regularly appear on Japanese blogs just before the official presentation, so it seems likely that the rumor is correct. However, the camera would not be available for sale until August.
The EOS 6D Mark II will be the successor to the EOS 6D, which was announced in 2012. That model has a 20.2-megapixel sensor and an autofocus system with 11 focus points. The LCD is attached to the housing with the current 6D.
