Netgear released new firmware for its . a few days ago Orbi routers and ‘satellites’ with 2.1.4.16 as version number. Orbi is a WiFi system that works with one router and possibly one or more satellites that do not communicate with other satellites. So in that respect it is not a mesh WiFi system. The system is aimed at an easy installation of a complete Wi-Fi network at home, without the need for in-depth network knowledge. This firmware update is suitable for the RBS20, RBW30, RBS40, RBS50 and SRS60 satellites and the RBR20, RBR40, RBR50 and SRR60 routers, which also come in different kit compositions. The corresponding list of changes looks like this:
