Intel has released an update for its SSD Data Center Tool. This allows you to manage connected drives from Intel’s SSD data center family via a command line. This includes identifying details of NVME and SATA drives, reading smart information, updating SSD firmware, calculating life expectancy, enabling and disabling latency tracking, and adjusting the power governor mode. It can run on Linux and Windows systems, and an edition for VMware ESXi hosts is available. For more information, please refer to this manual. Version 3.0.2 includes the following changes:
What’s New?
This release includes a firmware and bootloader update for the Intel® SSD DC P3700, DC P3600, DC P3608, and DC P3500 Series products. The latest firmware revision is 8DV101F0. The latest boot loader revision is 8B1B0133.
A firmware update is available for the Intel® SSD DC S3100 Series products. This update is only available through the Intel® SSD Firmware Update Tool. This release of the Intel SSD Data Center Tool detects if your drive is eligible for the firmware update and will direct you to the Intel SSD Firmware Update Tool. For the Intel® SSD DC S3100 Series, the latest firmware revision is 036D.
