Corsair shows off wireless and wired gaming mice at CES
Corsair will not only show the Harpoon wireless gaming mouse at CES, it will also present the wired Ironclaw RGB and M65 RGB Elite. The latter is an improved version of an existing model.
Corsair has developed its own wireless technology for the new Harpoon, which it has named Slipstream. The technology uses the 2.4 GHz WiFi band, but the Harpoon can also be connected via bluetooth or a cable. Slipstream keeps an eye on the traffic on the Wi-Fi network and changes the frequency itself, in order to keep the connection optimal. According to Corsair, this means that Harpoon can bridge a distance of ten meters. The mouse has a 10,000cpi sensor and six programmable buttons. The battery should last for sixty hours and the mouse is equipped with RGB lighting. It is striking that the mouse weighs only 99 grams. The Harpoon has a suggested retail price of $50.
The Ironclaw RGB is slightly larger and weighs 105 grams. The Ironclaw is equipped with Pixart’s new PMW 3391 sensor, which achieves 18,000cpi. It also has RGB lighting, of course, and has a suggested retail price of $60.
The M65 RGB Elite is a new version of the M65 that Corsair released in 2018. The Elite has the same PMW 3391 sensor as the Ironclaw. The sensitivity of the sensor can be adjusted in increments of 1cpi. The Elite weighs slightly less than the Ironclaw at 97 grams, but can be fitted with weights so that the weight can be increased to 115 grams. Corsair has also slightly modified the design of the buttons at the thumb. The M65 RGB Elite also has a suggested retail price of $60. All three models are available immediately. The three mice can handle Corsair’s iCue software, with which the colors of the RGB lighting can be adjusted.
