Download Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0 RC1

The developers working on Thunderbird for Mozilla have the mail client’s first release candidate on FTP server put. Mozilla Thunderbird is an open source and cross platform mail and newsgroup client with features such as a junk mail filter, spell checker and the ability to further extend its functionality using extensions. The new 1.0 RC1 version includes an improved RSS reader and artwork. In addition, the usual bugs have also been fixed. Below are the release notes for this release:

I’m excited to announce that our first Thunderbird 1.0 Release Candidate is now available for testing. 1.0RC1 includes lots of bug fixes and improvements for features like saved search folders, the RSS reader, mail migration, and message grouping. The default themes have both been updated with new improved artwork as well.
