In recent years, Apple has increasingly focused on promoting sustainable energy. The new ‘spaceship’ and the latest data centers will run entirely on renewable energy, with a budget of $ 850 million invested in a solar panel park and on a special department from the Apple website the green word is proclaimed. That effort is now being ‘rewarded’: Greenpeace has named Apple the greenest boy in the class of internet companies.

Greenpeace

Greenpeace judged on transparency, dedication, efficiency and the use and public proclamation of green energy. Apple scored an A. In all areas, Apple scored an A. Facebook scored three A’s and only a B in the last area, Google scored a B in three areas and an A. The ranking is only about the internet activities of the companies.

China

Earlier this week, Apple also announced in China new environmental initiatives to start setting up. Half a million hectares of forest are being protected, where responsible pulp, paper and wood products are grown, and a gigantic solar panel park is also being set up in China. “Apple’s goal is to become completely climate neutral.”
