Asus Introduces Cylindrical PC for Graphics Professionals
Asus announces the ProArt PA90, an elongated cylindrical PC that will be available with an Intel Core i9 and Nvidia Quadro video card. If the processor gets too hot, the top lifts for better airflow.
Inside the PC, an all-in-one system with liquid cooling keeps the processor warm, which would cause the computer to produce 32dB of noise at full load. When the processor temperature reaches 80 degrees Celsius, the cover at the top rises to let in more air for better cooling.
Asus supplies the ProArt PA90 with a Core i7-9700K or Core i9-9900K and with an Nvidia Quadro P2000 or P4000. Inside there is also room for two M2 SSDs or a 2.5″ SSD and for a maximum of 64GB DDR4. There are also two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3, four USB 3.1 Gen 2 interfaces, four Displayport connections. .
Asus focuses with the system on use by graphic professionals such as CAD designers. The company has not announced the prices yet, but the PA90 should appear sometime in the coming months. Asus is not the first manufacturer with a strikingly designed cylindrical computer for professional use. Apple and Samsung preceded the company, among others.
