Brave is a web browser based on Chromium and uses muon as an associated framework. At the helm of the company behind Brave is Brendan Eich, the creator of JavaScript and one of the founders of Mozilla. This browser focuses on improving online security by blocking trackers and replacing intrusive advertisements. In addition, an alternative system for financially supporting content providers is offered under the name Brave Payments. The idea behind this is that advertising is a website’s biggest source of income. Due to intrusive advertisements, many people use ad blockers and websites lose money. A Brave user can choose to participate in this construction and make a certain monthly financial contribution, which is then distributed among the visited sites. Work is also underway to support Basic Attention Tokens, a blockchain technology for advertising platforms. The developers have released Brave 0.19.147 for desktop with the following changes:
