The first beta release of version 7.6.0.0 of Central Brain Identifier was released yesterday at the Russian Amd club. With this program it can be determined exactly which AMD processor and chipset is in the computer. Some settings can also be fine-tuned, such as the speed of the VIA V-Link interface, bus width, command priority and the Bank Interleave parameter. Furthermore, it is also possible to enable or disable the instruction sets of the processor, such as MMX, 3DNow!, SSE2, Long Mode, NX-bit. The changelog of this release shows the following changes:

Changes in 7.6.0.0 Build 0729 R1:

  • Added two additional DRAM timings of Read to Write Delay (tRTW) and Write to Read delay (tWTR) for the nVidia nForce2 chipset.
  • The nForce2 FSB frequency control box enhanced with information about DRAM frequency.
  • Added preliminary support to VIA VT82C686 south bridge to determine the VCore and CPU temperature.
  • Added support to the AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ processor.
