Rumor: AMD board partners announce Radeon RX 7600 graphics cards at Computex
Several board partners may be showing their AMD Radeon RX 7600 graphics cards at Computex in May. The RX 7600 series is based on the RDNA 3 architecture and is likely to use a Navi 33 GPU.
The expectation comes from Igor’s Lab, which is more likely to share information about unannounced products early. Several other board partners would take a ‘wait and see’ attitude for the time being, presumably due to disappointing mid-range GPU sales, says Igor’s Lab.
The AMD Radeon RX 7600 video cards would be the first midrange desktop GPUs based on the RDNA 3 architecture. At the end of last year, the company announced all its Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX top models, but lower-positioned desktop video cards were not mentioned. The company previously introduced some RDNA 3 laptop video cards.
The new graphics cards are based on the RDNA3 architecture and bring the features that come with it, such as integrated cores for AI work, improved ray tracing cores and support for AV1 hardware encoding. In addition to a traditional GPU die, the video cards also have extra memory chips with Infinity Cache. The exact specifications of the Radeon RX 7600 are not yet known.
