Nintendo will make N64 game Pokémon Stadium available for the Nintendo Switch next week. The company does this through its Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. Pokémon Stadium 2 will follow later.

Nintendo will add Pokémon Stadium to its Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription on April 12, which costs 40 euros per year. Company reported in September that this game would become available through that subscription, but did not share a release date at the time. Nintendo also said at the time that Pokémon Stadium 2 will be added to the service in due course, alongside titles such as Excitebike 64 and 1080° Snowboarding.

Pokémon Stadium was released for the Nintendo 64 in 2000. In the game, players can participate in various tournaments with Pokémon battles and play mini-games. A Transfer Pak accessory allowed players to transfer their own Pokémon from the Red, Blue, and Yellow games. It was also possible to rent Pokémon within the game itself. It is not possible to transfer Pokémon from other titles with the Switch version.
