Download NewsMan Pro 2.0.0.4

NewsMan Pro is a program with which news can be read on Usenet and files can be downloaded. Some of the most notable features include support for multiple news servers, up to six simultaneous download connections, and the ability to set data limits per day, week, or month. The developers have ready version 2.0.0.4 and rolled it out with the following changes:

New in this release:

• Increased speed of inserting new jobs into the Queue by a factor of 5.
• Changed message deletion to not show the progress window if less than 5 messages are selected and the messages are being moved to the Trash.
• Fixed as bug that could trigger a premature Auto-Save when retrying parts that were previously not available.
• Fixed a bug in the data importer that caused a crash when importing data from a MySQL database into an ADS database.
• Fixed a bug that put a literal “NULL” in the attachment save folder for Workgroups imported from another database.
• Changed the Queue view to be accessed like any other view from the Navigator.
• Added a new “Connections” view where the Queue view was located.
• Changed Queue handling to only display the master header for multi-part articles. This greatly increases the speed of refreshing the Queue. All Queue actions now affect all segments of the selected master header.
• Fixed a bug that caused a crash and/or failed to delete the selected items from the Queue.
• Loading an NZB file will now auto-load the “Imported Messages” Workgroup.
• Changed Automation Rules to ignore message whose attachments have already been saved but the bodies were deleted.
• Changed message deletion to skip the warning about deleting Queued messages if the messages are marked “Keep”.
• Added “On/Off” buttons to the bandwidth limiter to allow disabling of the limiter without setting the limit value to “0”.
• Added ability to Enable/Disable the bandwidth limiter from the tray menu.
• Fixed a bug that could allow an invalid path to be specified in the Queue Wizard and a few other places throughout Newsman.
• Added “Grouped/Ungrouped” filter options into the regular filter builder. If enabled, these rules will be applied before any other filter condition.
• Added the following “F” keys as shortcuts to:
  • F5 – Message View
  • F6 – Queue View
  • F7 – Connections View (Toggles open/closed)
  • F9 – Server View
  • F10 – Workgroups View
• Added “Start Jobs”, “Pause Jobs” and “Stop Online Activity” buttons to the Connections View toolbar.
• Modified the yEnc decoder to not overwrite existing files. If the file to be decoded already exists, the new file will be saved with a “-nn.ext” just like attachments saved with any other decoder in Newsman.
• Added the ability to save a file from the Downloaded Files view.
• When downloading an “incomplete” message that is really just a text reply to a multi-part post, Newsman will now recognize that the message does not have an attachment and mark the message complete so that it can be read in the message viewer.
• Added the filename and dimensions to the hint displayed when hovering the mouse over an image in the image preview.
• Corrected the “Get New Headers” call on the Workgroups toolbar to get new headers only for the selected Workgroup or Newsgroup.
• Added filter support for RAR and PAR sets. Adding .rar or .par to the list of binary extensions in the filter builder will now include matches on the following extensions: .rar = .rar, .r00-.r99 .par = .par, .p00-.p99, .par2
• Fixed a bug that prevented regular expressions from functioning when using the “Delete with Filter” Scheduled Task.
• When selecting one or more jobs in the Queue, the time to download the selected job(s) will be displayed with the size in the status bar. Note that this is NOT the time remaining.
• Fixed a bug that caused a message marked as incomplete when a segment failed to download from being marked complete again when the segment was successfully downloaded later.
• Added one minute to each header imported from a single NZB file to force Newsman to download the messages in the order they were imported.
• Added “Retry”, “Restart Server Cycle” and “Skip Server/Group” to the Queue Details window.
• Fixed a bug in the monthly server limit reset calculation.
• Added saving of the Errorlog to disk on shutdown.
• Allow deletion of unsaved article bodies when using “Delete->Selected Bodies”.
• Fixed a bug in the Scheduled Task editor for adjusting the bandwidth limiter when “Display rates as KB/s” is enabled.
• Fixed a bug that caused active jobs in the Queue to remain “hung” when the server processing the jobs was disabled.
• When deselecting threaded messages, all children will be deselected if the thread is collapsed.
• Fixed a bug in the attachment saving thread that failed to use the destination folder assigned to a Workgroup when the articles were moved to a Saved Items folder and there was no destination folder assigned to the subfolder.
