Browser maker Brave has released its VPN service, which was already available for smartphones, for the desktop versions of its browser. The company has partnered with Guardian for the service. The service costs $10 a month.

The Brave Firewall + VPN plan already worked on Android and iOS, and now also on macOS and Windows. The service allows users to use a VPN and protects the user’s data, according to the browser maker. The service masks the IP address, lets users change their country location, and blocks ads and trackers on web pages.

The subscription works cross platform; users who already have a mobile subscription do not need to purchase a new subscription for the desktop. They can add up to four devices through their account settings, allowing five devices in total to be covered by the Firewall + VPN service.

For the service, Brave using Guardian, a platform acquired by DNSFilter last August. The Brave service can also stop trackers outside of the browser itself. Brave says it doesn’t keep any log files or cookies.
