A Vietnamese website has acquired an alleged Pixel 7a. The site has taken extensive photos and was also able to confirm that the device will have a 90Hz display before Google locked it remotely.

In addition to the detailed photos, the Vietnamese site Zing also reported that it has 128GB of storage space and 8GB of RAM, which is in line with an earlier leak. Furthermore, the camera bar at the rear is partly made of metal, as the existing 7-series models also have. That’s a change from the 6a’s beam, which is all-glass.

Zing also writes that there is room for a single physical SIM card, the same as previous Pixels, and that the SIM card tray is equipped with water protection. The Pixel 6a has an IP67 rating, so perhaps the 7a will too.

From previous leaks it already turned out that the Pixel 7a will have wireless charging and a 50-megapixel camera, a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 64-megapixel zoom camera. However, the leak from this Vietnamese website only shows two cameras on the back. The phone is probably missing the camera with optical zoom. Google is expected to announce the 7a at Google I/O on May 10. The Pixel 6a’s release date was July 28, 2022, so the 7a may follow around the same time this year.
