Amazfit adds ChatGPT integration to GTR4 smartwatches

Amazfit integrates a generative AI tool into its GTR4 smartwatches. According to the manufacturer, this is an addition of the ChatGPT tool. The function allows users to ask questions, for example about how their sports performance can be improved.

From the demo which shows Amazfit, it turns out that the function goes through life as ChatGenius. When users start it, they can record their questions. The AI’s response appears as text on the watch screen. Tapping the button on the screen clears the answer.

The demo only asks for tips, for example for improving running performance and sleep quality. It is unclear whether, as with ChatGPT, more general questions can also be asked. It is also not clear whether it is possible to ask follow-up questions, since in the demo the ‘clear’ button is pressed after each answer.

Amazfit reports that the availability of the feature depends on “the location and the watch model.” It is not known whether the integration will also be available on other smartwatches from Amazfit. A release date for the AI ​​integration has not been given.
