Google increases maximum prices for apps in Play Store
Google has increased the maximum price that developers in Europe can ask for an app or in-app purchase from 199 to 350 euros. Google has also adjusted prices in other countries. It is striking that the maximum for many countries has been set at a ‘1337’ amount.
AndroidPolice discovered that the apps in the American Play Store may now cost a maximum of $ 400, previously that was $ 200. While few developers charge that much money for their app, the maximum also applies to in-app purchases. Google has also adjusted prices in Europe, according to a comparison of the old list with the new list.
In the European Play Store, apps can now have prices from 0.50 to 350 euros. That was 0.50 to 199 euros. Google has adjusted the maximum prices of multiple countries. In many cases it is a doubling and in some cases a tripling. For example, apps in Brazil are now allowed to cost 1500 real, that was 500 real.
Google gives a new maximum for many countries with the number 1337. For example, an app may cost a maximum of 1,337,000 Colombian pesos. There were no ‘1337’ amounts in the old price list. An overview with all 1337 countries:
