ESA is bringing E3 back in 2023 and hooking up Reedpop as a co-host
The E3 games fair will return in June 2023. Reedpop, known for the PAX fairs, the Star Wars Celebration and New York Comic Con, is organizing the event together with the ESA. E3 will once again be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in 2023.
The Entertainment Software Association and Reedpop made Thursday known that the Electronic Entertainment Expo will return to the Convention Center in the second week of June 2023. The organizations did not discuss a possible hybrid variant, which ESA CEO Stan Pierre-Louis recently spoke about. The ESA and Reedpop will announce more about the further details of the event in the coming months.
The companies have also announced that media can register from the end of 2022 via a more secure registration tool. The ESA promised to improve after it became known in August 2019 that data from more than 2,000 journalists had been leaked.
The Electronic Entertainment Expo was first held in 1995 and is one of the longest-running and best-known games fairs in the world. The event provided a series of game announcements annually through 2019, but due to the corona crisis, E3 has not been organized in physical form for the last three years. In 2020 and 2022 the fair was completely canceled, while in 2021 only an online variant was held.
