Rumor: Foldable Google Pixel phone coming in the fall
The foldable Google Pixel Fold phone would be released this fall, a South Korean site claims. Previously, Samsung would not provide the displays that Google needs for the devices. Earlier rumors stated a spring release.
Samsung supplies the displays and will only produce them from the summer, claims The Elec. The South Korean site has often shown that it has reliable sources within Samsung, although not all information posted by the site turned out to be correct.
The South Korean manufacturer would start producing the panels in July and August. They would technically be about two years behind the screens that Samsung itself uses in its foldable smartphones.
With a release in the fall, the phone would be delayed. Google would like to release the phone this spring. This is also stated on the roadmap that appeared online a few weeks ago. Earlier rumors also pointed to a release this spring.
