LG plans to presumably present a phone with a ‘notification display’
LG has planned an event for October 1 for the presumed presentation of the V10, a smartphone with a second display for notifications above the regular screen. LG itself has already said that it will come up with a new, luxurious model in the fall.
According to the photos posted by ‘smartphone-tasty’ EvLeaks online earlier this month are set the second display is located above the regular display and next to the sensors and the front camera. The second display, which is presumably intended to display notifications or information from widgets without turning on the entire screen, is slightly less wide than the image itself in the photos. The photos come from the Chinese testing agency Tenaa.
LG’s event on October 1 seems to be dominated by a movie theme, Android Police reports based on the invitation. Because the manufacturer is organizing its own event, it seems that LG is going to announce its device there. Also known as the G4 Note, the V10 would have a 5.7″ display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. It would also have a 16-megapixel camera on the back and a camera with a maximum resolution of five megapixels. The phone is said to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 soc.
