Inspection body posts specs of Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
The Chinese inspection body TENAA has put specs online of what would become the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Only the specifications of the phone’s cameras are missing, but details about the processor, housing and screen are there.
The S23 Ultra will be 163.4×78.1×8.9mm in size and will weigh 233 grams, says TENAA. That is in line with the S22 Ultra. The screen is again an OLED panel with a diagonal of 6.8 inches and a resolution of 3088×1440 pixels.
The processor has clock speeds of 3.36GHz, 2.8GHz and 2.0GHz in the three clusters. It has been known for some time that Samsung will only use Qualcomm socks in its Galaxy S models. This is probably a souped-up version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2; it goes up to 3.2 GHz as standard.
The listing contains few details about the cameras. There would be five cameras, with resolutions of 108 megapixels, 12 megapixels, 12 megapixels, 2 megapixels and a front camera with a resolution of 12 megapixels. Rumors were that the phone would have a 200-megapixel camera, but the TENAA listing does not endorse that. According to previous rumors, Samsung wants to announce the Galaxy S23 series in early February and release it later this winter. The manufacturer has not yet announced anything about the new phones.
