Sony has released new firmware for the PlayStation 3. The firmware has been given jersey number 3.56 and is 176MB in size. You can download it from the menu of the console itself or from the Sony website. The release notes only speak of a security patch, without going into further detail. Most likely it is about countering the new jailbreak application, which was announced earlier this month.
