Download Google Chrome 18.0.1025.142

Google has released the first stable release of version 18 of its Chrome web browser. Google Chrome is available in three different versions: stable, beta and dev. Development versions are at an early stage of development and are therefore the least stable. In version 18, especially the graphic part be faster and more beautiful. This update includes several improvements related to issues identified in the Pwn2Own contest. The complete release notes for this version are below.

Stable Channel Release and Beta Channel Update

The Chrome team is excited to announce the release of Chrome 18 to the Stable Channel for Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome Frame. 18.0.1025.142 contains a number of new features including faster and fancier graphics. More detailed updates are available on the Chrome Blog and the Chromium Blog.

• [116398] Medium CVE-2011-3061: SPDY proxy certificate checking error.
• [116524] High CVE-2011-3062: Off-by-one in OpenType Sanitizer.
• [117417] Low CVE-2011-3063: Validate navigation requests from the renderer more carefully.
• [117471] High CVE-2011-3064: Use after free in SVG clipping.
• [117588] High CVE-2011-3065: Memory corruption in Skia.
• [117794] Medium CVE-2011-3057: Invalid read in v8.

The bugs [112317], [114056] and [117471] were detected using AddressSanitizer.
