Samsung Blu-ray players complain about bootloops
A large number of Samsung Blu-ray players seem to suffer from issues that cause the devices to go into a bootloop. This may be caused by a faulty software update that Samsung released recently.
The problems have been discussed on the Samsung forum and in threads on Reddit for several days now. The complaints show that a large number of different Blu-ray players are struggling with the bootloop problems. Also, the problems don’t seem to be limited to a particular region; Complaints are reported all over the world. A user on the Samsung forum compiled a list of models and countries where bootloops have been reported.
It seems that a software update caused the problems. This update is no longer sent to devices, so not everyone suffers from bootloops; those who only turned on their Blu-ray player after stopping the rollout did not receive the software.
It is not yet clear when Samsung will come up with a fix for the problem. Some people who have called Samsung customer service have been told that a solution is being worked on.
