Download Notepad++ 5.9.0 RC

The release candidate for Notepad++ version 5.9.0 has been released. This comprehensive text editor has various features that are especially useful for programmers, such as syntax highlighting for C, C++, Java, html, XML and php, among others. The program also offers the possibility to edit more than one document at the same time or even to maintain one document in two different places. If no issues are found, the final release will be available this week. The main improvement in this release is a newer version of scintilla, the open source editor that Notepad++ uses. The list of changes and improvements is as follows:

• Update Scintilla from 2.21 to 2.25
• New feature: Non-greedy regular expression (Scintilla).
• Add Copy/Cut/Paste Binary Content feature.
• Add “paste HTML content” and “paste RTF content” commands.
• Fix the inverse of title and message for some MessageBox.
• Add “Remove Unmarked Lines” command.
• Add “Column Mode Tip” to notice users the usage of column mode in Notepad++.
