Various programs can be used to measure the performance of a Solid State Drive. One of the better ones is AS SSD Benchmark by German Alex Schepeljanski. The program is only a few hundred kilobytes in size and free to use. Results can be displayed in megabytes per second or in input/output operations per second and a screenshot can be conveniently taken from within the program itself. In addition, it is also immediately possible to see whether the alignment has been set correctly. Version 1.6.4237.30508 has been out for a while, but the program was still missing in the Meuktracker and is therefore now included.
