Download SmartFTP 4.0 build 1247

Smartsoft has released version 4.0 build 1247 of its ftp client SmartFTP. SmartFTP is a very extensive ftp client. It includes support for secure connections via tls and ssl, server-to-server communication via fxp, error checking via xcrc, and various nat and upnp environments. The program is available in the flavors Home, Professional and Ultimate. Since the previous entry in the Meuktracker, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes in version 4.0 build 1244:

• Favorites: Added setting to force path type. In particular useful for HFS (hierarchical file system) on MVS z/OS and AS/400.
• Favorites: Path setting expects a unix style path now. The path is then converted to the remote path depending on the server type and path setting.

Changes in version 4.0 build 1245:

• Fix: Help did open Windows Explorer instead of help

Changes in version 4.0 build 1247:

• Updated UI component
• Added support for Windows 8 Release Preview.
• Starting from this build Windows 8 CP is no longer supported.
