Call of Duty: Black Ops II took just over two weeks to hit Activision with $1 billion in revenue, the publisher has announced. It is not known exactly how many copies have been sold.

The milestone of $1 billion worldwide was reached after 15 days, thus the publisher. After the introduction day of the new part of the fps series, on November 13, it was already clear that Black Ops II was a success: in the first 24 hours the game already brought in $ 500 million.

It is not the first time that a Call of Duty title quickly generates a turnover of 1 billion dollars: Modern Warfare 3 also reached this amount. However, that title took 16 days last year. The new game in the series is widely played online, according to figures that Activision releases. The publisher has recorded 150 million hours of online gaming for Black Ops II on Playstation Network and Xbox Live.
