Skype has released an update to version 5.10 of its VoIP client for Windows. With Skype it is possible to communicate with other Skype users by means of text, speech or image, or a combination thereof, via an internet connection. It is also possible to set up a video conference call with a maximum of ten people, but there is a Premium Subscription required. Furthermore, the Facebook News Feed is integrated into the program and there is Skype Home, a place where you can indicate your mood, change your profile and find new contacts.

New in version 5.10, which now also shows advertisements, is that Skype and Facebook contacts are now displayed in one joint list. Contacts can now also be placed at the top as favorites. Furthermore, it would be clearer for which services must be paid for, various errors have been fixed and the volunteers have again updated a lot of translations. This update also includes some bug fixes and stability improvements, although the changelog doesn’t specify which ones exactly.
