Download Avast! 17.5.2302

Avast Software has released an update for version 2017 of its security program Avast. This program is available in the free Free Antivirus, and the paid Pro Antivirus and Internet Security versions. In addition, there is the Premier version that adds additional management functions: this gives the user the option of taking over a PC remotely and possibly erasing the hard disk. In version 2017, the program has been given a new look, among other things, and it should better recognize so-called ransomware. Also, an email registration is no longer required to use the free version. Since version 17.2.2288, the previous public release we highlighted at Downloads, the following changes and improvements have been made:
