Demon’s Souls Remake Coming to PlayStation 5

Demon’s Souls is getting a remake on the PlayStation 5. The game should offer the same ‘cruel challenge’ as the original from 2009. Sony has shown a trailer of the game. The remake is being made by Japan Studio and Bluepoint Games.

Like the original, it is an exclusive title for PlayStation. At least the PlayStation 5 will get this game, but whether the PS4 will also get it is unknown. Originally the game comes from the Japanese FromSoftware, but that is not mentioned in this trailer. Demon’s Souls and Bloodborne are the only FromSoftware games of this kind, also known as Souls games, that have remained exclusive to PlayStation.

The description on YouTube states that this remake will have a Fractured Mode, but what that means is not told. Furthermore, the graphics have of course been cleaned up considerably and there will be a mode that emphasizes graphic beauty and one that is correctly set for a high frame rate, something that also occurs on the PS4 Pro for example.

A release date for this remake has not yet been announced. Sony showed the images during the Future of Gaming Show.
